One of the biggest findings is a 31-acre agricultural land located in Sangareddy district. According to estimates, this land alone could be worth nearly ₹62 crore in today’s market. Investigators believe that when all land, buildings, business interests, and valuables are added together, the total value of the assets easily crosses ₹100 crore.

The scale of wealth is especially surprising because of the officer’s rank and salary. As a Deputy Transport Commissioner, his monthly salary is estimated to be between ₹1 lakh and ₹1.25 lakh. With such income, owning assets worth tens of crores is highly unusual.

- A 50% ownership stake in Lahari International Hotel
- Around 3,000 square yards of showroom space used for a premium furniture business in Nizamabad
- Two residential flats in Ashoka Township, Nizamabad
- A high-tech polyhouse farming facility in Sangareddy
These findings suggest that the officer was not only investing in land but was also actively involved in hotel and retail businesses while holding a government position.
Cash, Gold, and Luxury Vehicles Seized
Apart from land and buildings, the ACB also recovered several liquid assets. Officials froze bank accounts holding ₹1.37 crore. In addition, more than one kilogram of gold jewellery was seized during the searches.
The investigation also uncovered a collection of luxury vehicles, including an Innova Crysta and a Honda City. These vehicles further add to the overall value of the assets and point toward a lavish lifestyle inconsistent with a government salary.
Serious Charges Under Anti-Corruption Law
The ACB has registered the case under Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2) of the amended Prevention of Corruption Act. These sections deal with criminal misconduct and illegally acquiring wealth during public service.
Officials allege that the deputy transport commissioner built a “hidden business empire” while still in office. This includes investments in hotels, land deals, and commercial properties, which is a direct violation of service rules and anti-corruption laws.
Investigators believe the case highlights a deeper problem of misuse of power and illegal enrichment, which the ACB is now working to expose fully.
